Super rare tequila that ages in Greek amphorae

Tequila Komos Anejo Cristalino stands as a unique marvel in the world of spirits, defying comparison with its innovative aging process. It is the crown jewel of Casa Komos Brands Group, established in 2019 by Richard Betts and Joe Marchese, dedicated to crafting exceptional premium spirits. Born from their deep expertise and passion for tequila, Tequila Komos Anejo Cristalino emerges as a testament to their vision.

At its heart lies blue agave, meticulously hand-picked from the fertile slopes and plains of Jalisco. Following tradition, the agave undergoes slow baking in ovens and double distillation in copper pot stills. What sets Tequila Komos Anejo Cristalino apart is its aging journey: initially maturing for 12 months in French oak barrels previously used for white wine, rather than the customary bourbon oak. Subsequently, the spirit undergoes a distinctive filtration process through a carbon column, known as cristalino, to achieve clarity and purity.

The final touch of distinction occurs during maturation in Greek amphorae, where the tequila harmonizes with oxygen, attaining a smooth, rounded character unparalleled in the industry.

Tequila Komos Anejo Cristalino enchants with its transparent, crystalline appearance and a bouquet that marries caramelized pineapple, lime zest, floral notes, subtle smoke, cedar, and spices imparted by oak aging. Upon tasting, the integration of alcohol is seamless, unveiling a medium-bodied spirit with an oily texture. The fruit notes reveal a sweetness balanced by botanical and mineral dimensions, culminating in a sensory experience that defies convention and delights the palate.
