Morada Bay, a stunning 3.68-acre waterfront property in Islamorada, is up for sale for $15 million. This picturesque estate includes Pierre’s, an upscale French-tropical fusion restaurant helmed by chef Jouvens Jean and designed in the French colonial style of West Africa. Pierre’s, a prominent dining spot in the Florida Keys since its opening in 1999, is part of this offering.

Though the property has been on the market for several months, owner Hubert Baudoin has not widely publicized the listing. The future of the restaurant remains uncertain, as potential new owners might choose to keep it open or redevelop the site into a hotel or condominium. Alongside Pierre’s, Morada Bay features the casual Beach Café, a 1,300-square-foot office building, and 574 feet of pristine beachfront. The property is also known for hosting a popular monthly Full Moon party and is a favored wedding venue.

Moorings Realty is managing the sale. Baudoin, born in Ivory Coast, West Africa, to French parents, purchased Morada Bay in 1995 for $1.3 million, as per Monroe County property records. He also owns the nearby Moorings Village resort, a filming location for the Netflix series “Bloodline.” Baudoin previously led a successful campaign against a development project that aimed to build 200 condominiums on the Moorings site, eventually acquiring the land himself. The resort lies just across the street from Morada Bay, located at 81600 Overseas Highway in Islamorada.

Baudoin did not respond to requests for comment. Contributions to this report were made by Miami Herald staff writers Jenny Staletovich and Evan Benn.
